Ein Cottage in Maine
Winters in Maine are long and lonely. That's why It seems Karen
is the right place to escape her golden cage in Boston. She
moves into a secluded wooden house by the sea to write her
book. In the solitude and diffuse doubts that torment her, she
soon loses control of her novel. Events and figures become
independent. Karen feels watched, she hears voices. And then
there's that inexplicable knock. Fear haunts her into her dreams.
Tension turns into a nightmare. Her story and characters are
becoming increasingly entangled with their reality. Is the
perceived danger real or just a spun-up of their imagination? But
then a very real crime happens.
